I certainly was far from alone. During the time her father was ill, the founder of Caregiving Cafe spent hours searching for services for her parents including housecleaning, transportation, medical home care, and meal services; and then emailing these lists to her family. I remember those ongoing searches well, and wish I had one place to go with a directory of all these services. This is what the Caregiving Cafe directory offers.
To help others in her shoes avoid the hours of searching, the founder created CaregivingCafe to assist caregivers to find solutions, information, resources, services, products, doctors, assistance programs and others who could provide effective care to family members. Part of the mission of CaregivingCafe is to “inform and to educate caregivers about rules, regulations and care,” and to offer caregivers “support, friendship, motivation and ways to cope as well as to exchange ideas.” You can also visit the CaregivingCafe Blog for their many “caregiving updates and useful tidbits.”
