Sylvia, a play about a dog, the couple that adopts her, and the drama that ensues, kept the audience in stitches.
Congratulations go out to the El Paseo Arts Foundation and the Laguna Madre Humane Society for yet another event that was a smashing success!
It was held at the beautiful South Padre Island Convention Center. I got to meet the author of Maggie: the dog who changed my life, Dawn Kairns. Her "story of love" was nominated for the 2008 Merial Human-Animal Bond Award by the Dog Writer's Association of America.
